QI GONG WORKSHOP 5.-6.11.2011

Developing Sensitivity - Creating Protection

This introductory course will teach how to develop your sensitivity of:

-Different qi bodies: emotional, energetic, meridians & points

-The internal tissues: skin, fascia, muscle, tendon, bones etc.

-How to create protective qi bodies in order to: protect and redirect negative energies from patients and dissipate negative qi and emotions both in clinical practice & in daily life

The course will comprise of both practical work with in-depth investigation of qi gong breathing & posture, simple qi gong breathing exercises and exercises to develop your sensitivity; together with clear theoretical explanations.

The course is directed to therapists of all types of bodywork, especially practitioners of of Shiatsu /Acupressure and Acupuncture / Chinese Medicine.

You will immediately be able to take the skills learnt into your daily clinical practice increasing effectiveness and efficiency: greater sensitivity to tissue qualities, and what lies within the body; diagnosis of qi sensations, accuracy in finding points, awareness of needling, comprehending emotional energies.

The course is taught in English; with translation to Finnish as necessary.

There will be an advanced, continuation course in January in which we will learn how to work directly with qi and mind intention in order to direct these different energies.
